Today Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay have become the new leaders of the Green Party of England and Wales. Their leadership election is a huge boost for Bristol and the South West.
“On behalf of our local party I want to congratulate Carla and Adrian on their decisive victory in the leadership election,” said Dan Johnston, coordinator of South Gloucestershire Green Party. “With their enthusiasm and experience we can look forward to a new Green surge with Bristol and South Glos at its heart.”
Adrian Ramsay is a former deputy leader of the Green Party. And Carla Denyer is a sitting Bristol City Councillor and target candidate for Bristol West at the next general election.
“Carla and Adrian’s campaign to build the Green Party into a winning electoral force and transform society is just what we need to tackle the climate emergency,” said James Dowling, Emersons Green Town Councillor and Green Party member. “We’re looking forward to working with them at a local level to deliver positive change for South Glos”.
