Councillor, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council
Alan Lankester
From Cambridge, moved to Bristol for university 44 years ago and stayed to work for over 40 years in the NBTS (now NHSBT) initially as a trainee scientist, subsequently specialising in transplantation managing the support laboratory for bone marrow transplantation at hospitals in Avon and Gloucestershire. Moved out to South Gloucestershire with my wife and three primary age children in 2002 at the same time as my job moved to managing National IT developments for stem cell transplantation. Previously a youth football coach in Frampton and currently a committee member and volunteer for Frampton Cotterell Nature and due to lead the Bioblitz bug hunt again later in April. Joined the Green Party in 2015 because mainstream parties weren’t willing to commit to following the science on environment, biodiversity or climate issues, and they still aren’t.
